Erlotinib, an inhibitor of human insulin, is one of many cancer drugs that are sometimes prescribed in combination with other therapies for various forms of cancer. It has enjoyed FDA approval for use in the treatment of both pancreatic cancer and non-pancreatic cancers of the endocrine system and has also been approved for use in combination with trastuzumab (antitrypsin) for the treatment of ovarian cancer. In a recent study by the National Cancer Institute and the National Institutes of Health, Erlotinib was shown to be highly effective in the treatment of pancreatic cancer, out performing the currently marketed drug, Enoxaparin. The combination of Erlotinib and Enoxaparin, however, proved much more effective in the treatment of pancreatic cancer. Erlotinib can only be taken by adults and may decrease the final dose if you suffer from a heart or lung tumor or other health problems that may affect your swallowing. Tell your doctor if you have breathing difficulties or other problems that may prevent you from taking Erlotinib. Erlotinib should not be combined with any other drugs, especially arterial or venous dilation drugs, anti-convulsants, anti-tuberculosis drugs or other bronchodilators. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, tell your doctor if you intend to use Erlotinib. Patients should not drink grapefruit juice prior to or after taking Erlotinib because grapefruit juice can thin the blood. This is not known to cause any harm, but patients should avoid grapefruit juice if they are on any medication that might thin their blood. Pregnant women are also generally advised against using this combination of medicines. Tell your doctor if you have any of these conditions. Erlotinib and grapefruit juice may not mix well, so try it in a separate container. Erlotinib and vitamin B6 are often sold as a single dose for sale on the Internet. If you take erlotinib as a single dose, the recommended dose is two tablets once daily, just like prescription strength vitamin B6. Erlotinib can harm your liver and could harm your gastrointestinal system as well, which could harm you. Erlotinib can be purchased over the counter without a prescription label, but you should still talk to your doctor before you buy erlotinib online. Erlotinib can interact with certain medications, and some cancer medications could interfere with the absorption of Erlotinib. Erlotinib may cause effects in some patients, especially those who take the medicine with other medications. Erlotinib can cause serious allergic reactions in some patients, and it has been known to cause death in extremely young children. Some patients notice that they have stomach cramps after taking the second and third dose of Erlotinib like Neratinib, or they notice that they cannot swallow the medication because the stomach cramps become severe. Erlotinib can cause diarrhea and vomiting, blood in the urine, and more. If you notice any of these symptoms after taking Erlotinib, contact your doctor immediately. 0
